WELCOME

Welcome to Early Years Foundation Stage  First, let me say hello and welcome to Reception! I am thrilled to be teaching this lovely class! May I take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Mrs Strogen.I am sure the children and I will have a great time on our new learning journey supported by Mrs Dore

Reading and Phonics

Reading: Reading is fundamental to your child making good progress in EYFS. Please ensure that you read every night with your child. A phonically decodable book and a sharing book will be sent home on a Monday.

Phonics:This half-term children will be starting Phases 2  as well as  tricky words to practise.

This takes place every Friday. The children are to come to school with long sleeve top, leggings/jogging bottoms, waterproof clothing and wellies all labelled

Home to School Learning

Home to school learning journey: This will be activity based and will celebrate your child’s learning.

PE

PE is on a Thursday

children are to wear a plain white t-shirt,black joggers/leggings and trainers.

We do PE both indoors and outdoors

Children have the opportunity to join in ‘Real PE’ sessions and we also link the activities to the EYFS.
