As a school we are committed to supporting the wellbeing of our pupils & staff. We have therefore recently received REST EASY Training. The training uses the Rest Easy Method as a whole school approach to mental health. It provides our school community with a new language around emotions & offers the staff & pupils, tools & skills to build resilience, emotional intelligence, empathy & self-awareness.
- The Rest Easy Method has been created as a way of preventing mental illness and promoting mental health.
- It is a proven, evidence-based methodology backed by NHS Innovation Agency & Validated by the University of Chester.
- It has been taught in schools since 2018.
- Our pupils will receive lessons in the Rest Easy Method.
- They will have a team of Rest Easy staff support to speak to in school if they have any worries or concerns.
- Each classroom will have its own Rest Easy bucket of resources to support children in practising the techniques as part of the approach.
- At lunchtime, Rest Easy pupil ambassadors will support other pupils if required with the Rest Easy approach.
