15th September - The Day the Animals Came...

On the 15th September we had some very special visitors at school - The animals from Harry Potter! Years 1,3,4, and 5 took part in special assemblies where they met owls, rats, toads, a snake and even a golden eagle! Then, Years 2 and 6 were treated to a more in depth talk where they learned all about how each animal survives in the wild, what they eat, how they hunt and their lifecycles. The children were very lucky as they were also allowed to handle and touch some of the animals during the visit. The children all loved the visit and the handler emailed us the day after to tell us that our children are 'fantastic and a credit to us!'
