Year 4 Smart Heart Presentation

Dr Ahmed Farag, a Heart Consultant from Warrington Hospital, came to visit Year 4 to talk about how to keep your heart healthy and the dangers of smoking. The children enjoyed listening to his presentation and all decided that they never wanted to smoke!

Place Value

This term, the children have used a range of concrete maths resources to help them in their place value maths lessons. The resources have really helped the children to understand a range of mathematical concepts.

Science- Autumn 1

This half-term, we have completed a range of 'wow science' experiments.

We have thought about the different types of scientific questions that we could ask to help us to understand the experiments.

Invertebrate hunt

As part of our 'living things and their habitats' topic we explored our school grounds to look for invertebrates.

We kept a tally of what we found and then discussed our results with each other in class.

Safety Week- W/B 22.1.18

Throughout the week we have been learning about all different aspects of safety.

We had a Taekwondo session to learn how to keep ourselves safe. We also had a circle time with Mrs Barker where we thought about other ways to keep ourselves safe.

We had assemblies about water safety and how to stay safe near railway lines.

Mrs Molyneux came to talk to us about road safety. We enjoyed thinking about how to keep safe on the roads during different weather conditions.

We have also learnt about internet safety in class.
