Y3 v Y4 (6/5/22)

A closely fought game ended in a 2-0 victory for Y4.

Y4 started well, with two long range efforts going wide but Y3 gradually came into the game more, forcing two corners in quick succession. As they pushed forward however, more gaps appeared in their defence and Y4 took advantage, scoring two goals in the final part of the game to gain the 5 points on offer and become the early leaders in the league table.

Y4 v Y5 (13/5/22)

A tight contest ended in a 0-0 draw, 3 points were shared.

Y4 started the brighter of the two teams, attacking down the right wing with pace, forcing a save from the goalkeeper. Y5, who moved the ball well in midfield, forced a corner which was cleared. Another attempt from Y5 went wide, then another run down the wing by Y4 produced another chance, saved again by the goalkeeper. Honours were shared, Y4 finish their games with 8 points from a possible 10 and top the league for the time being.

Y5 v Y6 (20/5/22)

Points were shared in this fiercely fought battle.

Y5 and Y6 shared 3 points in their contest on Friday. Y6 had the better of the play, forcing some good saves from the Y5 goalkeeper. Y5 threatened the Y6 defence on a couple of occasions, a shout for a penalty turned down after good pressure from the Y6 defence. Y6 finished the stronger, and were still attacking as the time wore on. As the final whistle blew, Y5 were very happy with their share of 3 points, bringing their total points to 6. Y6 will play Y3 this week, and need to win by more than 2 goals in order to win the competition ahead of Y4.
