A high-quality physical education curriculum inspires all pupils to succeed and excel in competitive sport and other physically-demanding activities. It should provide opportunities for pupils to become physically confident in a way which supports their health and fitness. Opportunities to compete in sport and other activities build character and help to embed values such as fairness and respect.

Amazing News for PE!

We are very proud to announce that St. Bridget's have maintained the SILVER for our School Games Mark over 2019-20. Well done to all pupils and staff involved.

We also held a hugely successful Virtual School Sports Week in conjunction with The Warrington Wolves Foundation and 12 other Warrington Schools . We were awarded Gold for the quickest daily of the week and Silver for our number of paticipants!

PE at St. Bridget's

At St. Bridget’s in order for us to provide the PE curriculum we use REAL PE.

REAL PE is a unique, child-centred approach that transforms how we teach PE to engage and challenge EVERY child in primary school.

It provides fun and simple to follow Primary PE Schemes of Work and support for Early Years Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 practitioners that give them the confidence and skills to deliver outstanding PE. It is fully aligned to the National Curriculum and Ofsted requirements and focuses on the development of agility, balance and coordination, healthy competition and cooperative learning through a unique approach to teaching and learning in PE.
