Welcome to Early Years Foundation Stage First, let me say hello and welcome to Reception! I am thrilled to be teaching this lovely class! May I take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Mrs Strogen.I am sure the children and I will have a great time on our new learning journey supported by Miss Kershaw.
On this page you will find lots of important information and photographs of the exciting things that we will get up to in class. It will also be updated regularly with class news and links to websites that you may find helpful to support your child's learning.

EYFS Curriculum Intent
Reading and Phonics
Reading: Reading is fundamental to your child making good progress in EYFS. Please ensure that you read every night with your child. A phonically decodable book and a sharing book will be sent home on a Monday.
Phonics:This half-term children will be moving onto Phase 4 Phonics learning. This phase does not introduce any new sounds, but rather consolidates all of the learning carried out in Phases 2 and 3. We will learn about consonant clusters, as well as have a new set of tricky words to practise.
